Hazy lazy summer days in the Dordogne

One of the (many) pleasures of living in the Dordogne is making friends with the people who share this corner of Paradise with me, and one of the (many) bonuses of that is to go visit them, spend a leisurely afternoon over a meal or just sipping wine, lounging next to the pool or going for a walk in the vineyards/woods/hills, dance with them in the square when the fancy takes you. The discussions are always lively, the dictionary is always close at hand, there is always a beautiful aroma wafting from the direction of the kitchen and always a little sadness when the perfect day finally comes to an end....
