Undeniably one of the biggest privileges of living in the Perigord Dordogne, or visiting this region during the summer holidays, is the abundance of excellent musical and other cultural events that is on offer.
On any given Friday or Saturday or Sunday evening, in a beautiful old chateau drawing room, or an ancient abbey or stone chapel, musicians from all parts of the world and with every kind of instrument come to perform for us. The quality of the artists is world class and the often multicultural audiences demanding and discerning, but it is the venues that the region provide that make these soirees such a unique experience. 
Last Sunday night, the delightful Marie-France opened her elegant Chateau Pecany for a group of about 80 music lovers and the harpist Sophie Clavel, a flautist, a violinist and a young tenor who provide us with an interesting and most enjoyable programme.
