During my journey through Spain, I could not help but be struck by the beautiful -- and richly varied facades of the buildings. And if the eyes are the windows to ones soul, then surely their windows must be the eyes of the Spanish soul. Their love for the outdoors and socialising with friends, be it on their balconies or in their streets, till all hours of the night, was a facet of the Spanish way of life that strikes one immediately. Since my childhood I have always tended to walk through cities with my eyes upwards, loving the way each building reflects a different personality and aura, vying for the light, changing hues and colours, with glimpses of the skies above - and in Spain it was no different.....
